H. MacDonald-Archer draws on almost 40 years experience as an editor, reporter and feature writer. As a journalist, she worked on a number of Thomson Newspapers, a Muskoka weekly and The Ottawa Journal before landing at The Toronto Star for 26 years. She is a member of the Toronto Chapter of Sisters in Crime as well as Sisters in Crime International.
She has had three short stories published in two short story crime anthologies: Nefarious North (August 2012), and The Whole She-Bang 2, published by Sisters in Crime Canada (November 2014). Her short story 'Willard's Way' is included in The Whole She-Bang 3, published in November, 2016.
She writes a blog, Missing Mary, www.hmacarcher.blogspot.ca, and has an undergrad degree in Celtic Studies from University of Toronto as well as an M.A. in early medieval church history, Guelph University.
